Sanctuary's time has come

The talk in the news this week has been about Sanctuary cities. 

I wrote “The Alternate Safe World of Sanctuary” in 1972, forty-seven years ago.   I wrote it because I was angry at the “free-loaders” who took advantage of our ‘help’ organizations, i.e. government, churches, neighbors. 

And I invented Sanctuary where help could be obtained – but it was the only place.  Although computer-styled advances have changed our way of living, the nucleus of a current solution is still here. 

Finally the world has caught up with me.
